In his 45 years in the industry Chris has spent the best part of this time running Hartnell Coolheat. With his unwavering passion and dedication Chris ensures the company will continue to stride ahead of the rest. And, in his efforts as Director, he’s never far from the action. Chris is a member or IRHACE (The Institute of Refrigeration, Heating and Air Conditioning Engineers of New Zealand Inc.) and an IQP (Independent Qualified Person).
Ondrej moved to NZ & joined the company in 2015 from his home country, the Czech Republic. A highly skilled Engineer with a Masters and Bachelor degrees in Engineering & extensive experience in the European HVAC systems he is now a General Manager of the company overviewing the day-to-day operations of Hartnell Coolheat. Ondrej is member of IRHACE (The Institute of Refrigeration, Heating and Air Conditioning Engineers of New Zealand Inc.) and Engineering New Zealand (previously known as IPENZ).
Steve has lived and worked in the North Canterbury region for nearly 35 years and has worked in the heating industry for over 15 years. He has been actively involved with government departments and advocacy groups, focusing on energy savings. With his great local and technical knowledge Steve is able to work with clients to meet any heating or ventilation requirements.
Grant Jenkins specializes in Project management of our sites specifically in the Sheetmetal/ducting division ensuring all work is completed to a high standard & on time. Grant had previously run his own sheetmetal fabrication business prior to joining the company in 2010. Whether its ducting, extract hoods, grilles, roof flashings or anything of a sheetmetal nature, Grant can do it.
Joining the company as a refrigeration apprentice in 2010 Alex Duncan has worked his way up to position of Contract Supervisor. Alex is supervising and project managing our sites ensuring all work is completed to a high standard & on time. As a fully qualified refrigeration engineer, he also undertakes all commissioning of our commercial and residential projects.
Kane joined the team in 2015 and is responsible for company stock levels and also fulfills the role of Sales Consultant. Kane is very passionate about sales with good customer skills and understanding of customers requirements.
Alek has over 20 years experience in the climate control industry in New Zealand with 15 of those years with Hartnell Coolheat. With this experience behind him he is able to provide the necessary focus for delivering adaptable, dependable solutions, no matter what the size or shape of the project. Alek currently works for the company in a part time capacity.
Matt is a highly qualified technician who can sort any possible issue on any refrigeration or electrical device. He is working for Harnell Coolheat over 10 years.
Irene is the true core of our company, She is working for Hartnell Coolheat for over 12years. She finished 6 years of the University studies in Philipines (4 years BSC –Bachelor of Science in Commerce major in Accounting, 2 years Secretarial Science Diploma), and one year at Polytech University here in New Zealand-for Business Computing & 3 months intensive training at the Business Education Company.
Lisa has been with the company since May, 2017 as our Service & Maintenance Coordinator and usually the 1st point of contact when contacting the company. She is responsible for ensuring our plant maintenance program is up to date, particularly important for signing off our commercial clients' annual building warrant of fitness. She also has the responsibility of getting our Techs to breakdowns as soon as possible to ensure we minimize the downtime of your plant.
Charles joined the company in 2015 as a sheetmetal/ducting installer working his way up the company to now be part of our design & estimation team. He is currently in a year two of his study towards a diploma in Mechanical Engineering at ARA Institute. Charles is very passionate about engineering and is an important part of our team. With a high level of computer skills he undertakes most of Hartnell Coolheat AutoCAD design/construction drawings.
